RedTron_SE is a Special Edition of the RedTron_400. This VST plug-in uses the Taijiguy's Mellotron samples (taken from a 1973 Mellotron M400S - Serial #500). The samples have been cleaned (not too much) by removing an annoying 60Hz hum and some unwanted "clicks" and "pops" here and there.

Groove Analogizer is an "audio controlled drum synthesizer", it means that like a vintage electronic drum tone generator (e.g. Simmons) the percussion sound is triggered by an audio input, not by a MIDI message. This also means that you must not load, in the host, Groove Analogizer as a VST instrument, it loads as a VST effect, usually in an insert slot.

But it's really a synth: the sound of three oscillators is triggered and shaped by the audio input in many ways.

How triggering works in Groove Analogizer:

A trigger can be any kind of percussive* sound, both mono or stereo, it can be a wav file or another VST instrument.
(*Percussive means: with fast attack time and fast or moderate decay/release time)

For each of the three generators you can choose left, right or left+right input, input can be both mono or stereo, then a band pass filter allows you to select (coarse and fine) which frequency range of the audio source will be used for triggering, this way you can separate hi, mid and low tones in the audio input, allowing you to isolate different trigger patterns from the same complex audio source (e.g. you can input a full drums loop and select snare for trigger 1, bass drum for trigger 2 and hihat for trigger 3).
Groove Analogizer also features Pre-Listening (PL button), so that you can monitor which part of the source is selected as trigger.

Another control at the input named Sensitivity allows to fine select the loudest triggers filtered by the band pass. So that you may include ghost notes or avoid them.

Ultra Swamp is a completely reworked version of Swamp/Swamp XT so there are a quite a few differences to the prior versions and a hugely increased sonic potential! It's really for the good, the bad and the weird sounds thus ranging from sweet over dark to really strange stuff; transforming the wave samples beyond recognition. This is a swamp where you throw something in but get something more useful out again and it's not just for pads and atmos but also for quite snappy percussive & sequencer sounds.

There is only one TimbreModulator but with selectable input source: Osc 1, Osc2 or even both! Instead of the 2nd Timbremodulator there is a 'real' Ringmodulator, yes, the real deal as far as software can do it! The mod Oscillator for RingMod ranges from approx. 7Hz to 100Hz, so the typical 50Hz AC is possible. As RingMod generates the sum and difference of the input signals it can give quite a low punch. This one is with selectable input source: Osc 1, Osc2, plus the output of TimbreMod too! As both of these soundshapers have great  capabilities to transform the signal of the oscillators they have both independant outputs and are treated as secondary soundsources.

Thus the new Swamp has quite increased sonic capabilities at this stage already. Anyway the SF2 oscilators come with 256 carefully selected waves though some maybe suited better for RingMod while others are better suited for TimbreMod.

Of course there is the wellknown resonant 24dB LowPass, a 12db HiPass and a Bandpass Filter with a 4 channel adaptive mod mixer so 4 source can be mixed to modulate Cutoff. This is great to create new mixes of LFO modulations. The output sections has increased a lot. Besides the delay there is a stereo Flanger and Stereo Reverb with PreDelay and LowCutoff  to remove lower frequencies for an optimized Reverb response (use this if the rev 'shatters' in low range.

As Modsources there are 3 LFO, 1 S&H, 1 Double LFO with Phase shifting for one with is best useful for the flanger. Also there is a new Gator which effect can be mixed on the output level so you can adjust the amount of gating on the output, with enhanced routings including modulating pan of the delayed signal.

Most modern compressors analyze the input signal to control gain reduction. The feed-back compressor design however “listens” to its output. This non-intuitive approach delivers an unobtrusive and highly musical compression characteristic that is able to handle complex signals with ease.

These unique characteristics were combined with a minimalistic audio-path and state of the art digital signal processing techniques. The compressor is carefully tuned for intuitive and musical operation. We want to emphasize the fact that the processor neither tries to emulate any previously available device, nor does it follow popular trends like “virtual analogue”, “vintage” or similar buzz terms. A free collection of samples recorded from a Commodore 64 with a SID 8580 chip installed. The sounds were created using the Mono Synthesizer application of the MSSIAH cartridge. Commodore 64 Synthesizer Sessions Part 1 includes 16-bit WAV files, as well as Kontakt 5 and Shortcircuit 1 instrument patches.

A much-loved and ubiquitous toy from the 1970s and 80s, Texas Instruments Speak & Spell has found a new lease of life in electronica in the last few years. People discovered that if you tinker with its circuits and voice chips, glitching, looping, and other interesting effects can be achieved. ‘Circuit Bending’, as this is known, is said to have begun in the late 1960s, and its invention is attributed to one Reed Ghazala, after a fortuitous accident with a toy amplifier. 

Today Circuit Bending has reached the levels of an Art-form, with its leading practitioners going ever further with increasingly unlikely toys and devices, in search of sonic chaos. In addition to toys,  Digital musical instruments such as synths and drum machines make excellent circuit bending subjects for musicians, as a visit to Circuitbenders.co.uk website shows. 

The SC Speak & Spell was created by Andy Wheddon, a keen bender from Brighton, UK. It has various trigger and loop controls, as well as a pitch control knob and the all-important jack-output. In use, the results of a circuit bent S&S are far from predictable. The best technique tends to be to let the machine go into a random pattern of words and glitches which can then be looped or manipulated, albeit barely, with the modified controls.

Face Bender is a VST emulation of a Fuzz Face and a Tonebender MKII. It has added controls for tweaking or for crafting your own fuzz tone.

The Fuzz Face was first made by Arbiter Electronics in 1966. It had a thick, fuzzy distortion and was made famous by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmour. The Tone Bender MKII was also released in 1966, by Sola Sound. Compared to the Fuzz Face, it has a brighter, more distorted sound.
